Русский: Александр Марков, доктор биологических наук, ведущий научный сотрудник палеонтологического института РАН, завкафедрой биологической эволюции МГУ. Запись голоса, сделанная во время программы на радиостанции «Эхо Москвы». Текст записи:

Жизненный успех, экономический в том числе, уже не повышает вот так очевидно репродуктивный успех, а, скорее, наоборот. То есть сейчас больше потомков оставляют не те, кто добился успеха, а те, кто по глупости или по пьянке забыл воспользоваться противозачаточным средством, грубо говоря. Соответственно, если раньше по IQ был отбор, по-видимому, положительный, то есть люди с более высоким IQ оставляли в среднем больше потомков, то сейчас, скорее, наоборот. Последние лет 100-200, по-видимому, во многих популяциях идет отбор в обратную сторону.
