| Description |
English: Examples of stimuli with two chromatic adapting contours. In the top left a stimulus is shown comprising both an inner and an outer green adapting contour. Compared with the figure in the top right, color spreading appears less strong, because filling-in induced by both contours appear to cancel each other out. In contrast, when the outer contour is changed to purple (lower left), both contours induced a similar colored afterimage. The color should be similar to color filling-in induced by the stimulus in the lower right. |
