Description
English: An aerial photo taken in October 1951 showing the Municipal Tramways Trust tram depot and workshops at Hackney, South Australia, before the scaling back and eventual closure in 1958 of Adelaide's street tramway system. The 10-acre site is flanked on three sides by the Botanic Gardens of South Australia and, in front of the depot, Hackney Road. At the entrance of Tram Barn B are street trams; to the left of the 2-storey headquarters building is the growing fleet of diesel-powered buses; at far right are electric trolleybuses.

The headquarters and the barn to its right, Tram Barn A, are now heritage-listed (the latter as part of the State Herbarium); the other facilities have been demolished.
