Summary

[edit]
Description
English: NPC migration in the presence of a dcEF is not a chemotactic effect. NPCs maintain cathodal migratory behaviour even in the presence of continuous media cross-perfusion in the direction opposite to the dcEF. NPCs were plated into galvanotaxis chambers for 17 hours in the presence of EGF, bFGF and heparin, and then exposed to a dcEF of strength 250 mV/mm for 2.5–8 hours with fresh media continuously cross-perfused in the opposite direction. 1 second of video = 15 minutes real time.
