Nederlands: AdmiraalzeilenOp een woelig water aan de Hollandse kust varen enkele Oost-Indiëvaarders temidden van vele kleine schepen. Te oordelen naar de twee trompetters op de scheepjes op de voorgrond, wordt het sein gegeven voor het begin van het ‘Admiraalzeilen’. Dit was een pleziervaart onder aanvoering van een gelegenheidsadmiraal. De in Amsterdam wonende Adam Silo was bekend als marineschilder en -etser. Hij hield zich daarnaast bezig als modelleur in was, instrumentmaker en als viool- en scheepsbouwer.
