This paper compares the use of Phase Lead control and Integral control methods to the Positive Position Feedback (PPF) method of suppressing the primary and secondary modes of vibration of a flexible structure. The basic characteristics of piezoelectric sensors and actuators are reviewed. Integral, Phase Lead, and PPF control methods of interest are. also reviewed. The Integral and Phase Lead control methods prove to be comparable to that of PPF while offering a simpler implementation. Subjects: NA |
