Description
English:
Former station building of the AEGV (~Great Plain First Economic Railway, a subsidiary of Arad and Csanádi United Railways). The first lines of the AEGV opened in 1894. The Békéscsaba-Békés line passed the Kossuth Square opened in 1903. The Kossuth Square station temporarly building completed in 1904, replaced by a new one in 1905, planned by Lajos Kövér architect. It was rebuilt in 1955 withbrickwork. Here is a railway related facade plaque - Kossuth Square, Békéscsaba, Békés County, Hungary.

Kossuth téri AEGV állomás (motorállomás). Kövér Lajos aradi építész tervei szerint 1905-ben épült. 1955-ben a MÁV építette át téglafalazattal. Az1960-as években azonban a kisvasúti hálózatot fokozatosan felszámolták. Kossuth téri kisállomás épületébe költözött a Magyar Autóklub Békés Megyei Szervezete, majd a Békés Megyei Horgászegyesületek Területi Bizottságának vezetősége, illetve üzletek is nyíltak az épületben.
