Description
English: War dammage in Ravenna
Rubble fills the interior of a hall in the Museo Arcivesovile, called the Basilica Ursiana, in Ravenna, Italy, which was liberated by the allied Eighth Army. Built by the order of Archbishop Orso at the beginning of the Fifth Century, the Basilica was rebuilt in 1733. It contains many valuable works of Ursiana and is frequently called the Cathedral of Ivory.
