Summary[edit]

Description
English: Supplementary Movie 11 mhcA- and mhcA-/forA- cells are immotile in 2D-confinement. The behaviour of mhcA- and mhcA-/forA- cells compressed under agar was recorded by phase-contrast imaging in PB buffer using 10 x magnification. Note the inability of both cell lines to migrate in 2D-confinement. In contrast to mhcA- cells, however, the mhcA-/forA- cells formed numerous protrusions around their cell periphery. Time is min:s. Scale bar, 25 μm.
