Description
English: Supplementary Movie 4 Biomimetic flytrap snapping action. A piece of rice is hung by using a thin wire moving into the probing area of the optical flytrap, leading to fast closure action (< 250 ms). The flytrap re-opens upon switching off the light. LCE actuator size: 6 mm. P = 200 mW.
