Description
English: A 155 mm U.S. "Long Tom" gun crossing the Bailey bridge over the Sieve at Borgo San Lorenzo.
In the central sector of the Italian front British troops of the 8th Army are continuing their advance in the Apennines against determined enemy resistance, and are in close contact with the Gothic line. Indian troops reached Borgo San Lorenzo, on the mountain road to Faenza, on Sept. 11, and established a bridgehead across the river Sieve.
