Summary[edit]
Description94.
English: Sound frequency in various gases
The sound frequency in different gases (and due to that, the vocal timbre) is different in atmosphere made out of air, helium and sulfur hexafluoride. The frequency is dependent on the mass of the oscillating gas, so under the same experimental conditions, this dependence is valid: where M denotes the molar mass of the gas. The experiment is performed with air, helium, and sulfur hexafluoride. The sound frequency can vary significantly, as can be seen from the equation. Performed by the retired Prof. PhD Vladimir Petruševski with the help of the Prof. PhD Miha Bukleski. The planning of the experiment also included the students Mihail Trajkov and Darko Stojčev, Department of Chemistry, FNSM, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, Macedonia.
