English: Initial thoughts blog post and native footage here: gopb.co/blackmagic4k
UHD compressed H264 version available from here to download for Pro and PLUS Vimeo members. Smoking sucks. Need help quitting then go to quit.org.uk Hypocrisy then featuring smoking in this? Yes. My dad smokes cigars occasionally, his only vice and after appearing in a number of my reviews smoking one of his bad boys, especially the one that B&H have used on their monitors in their store for about 3 years now, he asked if I wanted to test another camera out one day he said he would be keen...he liked the super slow motion FS700 one the best! So this is my first footage from the Blackmagic 4k. I haven't had a chance to test much of it out at all. So when dad came up for lunch I got it all set up. Two Gekko LED lights (gekkolite.com) , Canon 100mm Macro L, 85mm F1.2, 24-70 F2.8 II L, Small HD DP7 Pro and the Blackmagic Production Camera 4K with V-Lock battery on it. Music is from The Music Bed gopb.co/musicbed Shapes by Michael Cameneti Graded with FilmConvert from "Film Mode" on the camera. Fujichrome Astia 100. 10% off with code bloom at gopb.co/filmconvert Sharpened in Premiere CC by 18%. My initial thoughts of the camera are being written right now. A full review will come with a lot more time using the camera has elapsed. As always these reviews are done in my own time and for zero money and take a huge amount of work so any use of the Vimeo TipJar and affiliates on my site are greatly appreciated and help me keep the site running and make the reviews. Thanks! Native ProRes HQ clips will also be downloadable in the current blog post. |
