Summary[edit]

Description
English: Allergen is recognised by lymphocyte B activating it into plasma cells that produce IgE, and into memory cells that will make the response quicker in later allergen exposures. IgE, in presence of the allergen, activates mast cells triggering the allergic response, which has effects not only on several tissues such as soft muscle, small blood vessels, mucous glands but also on platelets, nerve endings and eosinophils.
