The point of view here has to be west of First Avenue South, which runs straight north-south, whereas Seattle's streets north of Yesler Way run at an angle to the compass grid. The only building tall enough and built at anything like the right date would be the American Savings Bank and Empire Building, built 1906 at the southeast corner of Second and Madison. (The Alaska Building [1904] and Hoge Building [1911] are too far east.)
