The Forty Isles -- In These Seas G Robinson Was Wrecked And Dwelt There Alone Until Saved By His Own Integrity

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: 1924 fantasy pictorial map - The Forty Isles.
The fictional map for an unclear purpose is clearly inspired by the events in Defoe's Robinson Crusoe novel; but the map depicts many islands when Robinson's adventure all took place on a single remote island. For example: The Wreck Island is separated from the Home Island (where Robinson built his home including beacons and a palisade); there are also separated Islands named Friday, Crusoe, Parrot, Rum, Old Hut, Monkey Island and Footprint Island. Some elements are not from R. Crusoe however: Penguins, Octopus and Volcanoe Island.
