Description
English: There are four types of hypersensitivity: type I is mediated by IgE and consist of the activation of mast cells and basophils that release vasoactive mediators; type II mediated by IgG (but also by IgM) that triggers the complement activation or ADCC (antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity); type III is mediated by immunocomplex that induce the classical pathway of the complement system, inflamatory response and the massive infiltration of neutrophils; and type IV which is mediated mainly by Th1 cells that release cytokines resposible of macrophages activation.
