Summary[edit]
Description-2021-04-21 Steven's Mill, Burwell, Cambridge.jpg |
English: Steven’s Mill in the village of Burwall, Cambridgshire. The restored windmill dates from 1820. A notice explains that during coronavirus pandemic closure it has been made safe by removing the shutters from the sails "so that the wind cannot catch and damage them, whichever way and however hard it blows. We have also removed the remaining fan blades from the fantail at the back of the mill ... In this state the mill will no longer turn automatically to face into the wind, so we have manually turned it to face into the prevailing winds. |
