<신정심상소학> 제3권. 이 책은 학부편집국(學部編輯局)이 우리나라 청소년들의 애국심을 고취시키기 위해서 편술했던 교과서로 건양(建陽) 1년(1896)에 재주정리자(再鑄整理字)로 간행된 판본이다.

본서는 개화기에 신학문을 가르치기 위하여 고종 32년(1895)에 칙령 제145호로 공포된 소학교령에 따라 이듬해(1896) 편찬된 동몽서(童蒙書)로 알려지고 있으나, 실제로는 우리나라 전 국민의 교육(敎育)과 계몽(啓蒙)을 염두에 두었던 집필로 여겨진다.
