Summary[edit]

Author
Sir Oswald Walter Brierly
Description
English: 'Agamemnon' at sea, a cutter in the foreground

Watercolour entitled 'Agamemnon at sea, a cutter in the foreground'. The cutter may be a pilot and on the right a second ship in stern view flies the post-1843 Green company house flag. Agamemnon is presumed to be the ship of about 1,700 tons built by Green's at Blackwall in 1855 for their London to Australia run, see PAH9322. Here she is flying her code letters but no house flag. The drawing is heightened with white body colour.
