Another excellent march two-step from the brilliant composer Carlotta Williamson. Many thanks to our researcher JohnJ1995 for the advice that led my finding and obtaining a copy of the original score, which otherwise hasn't been available in the public domain. Carlotta is another of those composers whose works didn't receive enough attention and who need to be heard once again. Published by her husband George Blanford's Colonial Music Publishing Co. in Boston in 1906.

Osceola was a famous native American. Of mixed parentage he fought for the Seminole people of Florida and was imprisoned by deception during a truce in the war, having attended what he was misled into thinking were peace talks. He died of natural causes in prison. The officer who misled him was disgraced, while Osceola was buried with military honors.

I've posted a copy of the original score here: https://mega.nz/file/fQQEGZyJ#Ozfdz5Ikd-Mhb47Vxq0PofJVp93DBbY49efk94ZAViY

Score #199 in my current ongoing series "Women Ragtime Composers" featuring interesting selections written by ragtime era women. Entire series is posted on YouTube at this link:
