Deutsch: Der Hauptbahnhof in Dresden ist der größte Bahnhof der sächsischen Landeshauptstadt und befindet sich in der Südvorstadt. Er wurde ab 1892 errichtet und im Frühling 1898 eröffnet. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde der Hauptbahnhof schwer beschädigt. Eine markante Besonderheit der seit 2000 aufwendig sanierten und im November 2006 offiziell eingeweihten Station ist ein mit einer teflonbeschichteten Glasfaser-Membran überzogenes Dach.

English: Dresden Hauptbahnhof (usually translated from German as Dresden Central Station, short form: Dresden Hbf) is one of two main inter-city transit hubs in the German city of Dresden. It was built between 1892 and 1897 at the southern border of the inner city.
