With a few days before the contest begins, I can find very little information about WLM in Egypt. I hope you can help clarify. First of all, I can't find the monument lists on Wikipedia (or I don't understand them, I unfortunately don't speak Arab, so might be looking at the wrong place). For the tools to work properly, we need templated tables on a Wikipedia, with the officially recognized monuments and unique identifiers. If you're unable to create such lists, if your lists are in excel tables or something, or if you need other help, please let me know - we might be able to help you out with this.

Secondly, I understood that there is legislation in Egypt that prevents publication of photos of monuments (similar to Italy and Greece). Did you find a workaround for this? Also, I have found very little information about the jury, prizes and rules of the contest. Finally, I wonder what your thoughts are around the competition and the unrest currently ongoing in Egypt. I can imagine that it is hard right now for people to make photos of monuments - but I only know the situation from the media, so my view is very limited. Could you enlighten me of the situation? Thanks!

I'm asking all these questions because I want to get a better picture how we can try to help you in organizing, and whether it is realistic to expect a competition still on this short notice. I see that you have been working on multiple Arab countries, and I can well imagine that you might have too much to do at some point with so many countries. Hi Effeietsanders , we have created the list of the monument on Arabic Wikipedia on this page , (should we but it here also)

and for the second point the answer is yes we are going to get approval to take photos of some monuments that needs that , and about the prizes please I want to ask you is it possible to have a grant from the foundation to fund the prizes --Mohamed Ouda (talk) 21:32, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

Could you clarify what is the basis of this list? Is this some kind of official list or anything? I also see it is a rather short list, and it is a wikitable, not built with templates. Take for example this list in India: [1] (click edit to see the difference). This is bot-readable. I believe the list of Jordan is also set up in a similar way. Could you copy the model of Jordan for Egypt?

If you have set up the rest, we can help with a small budget for the prizes (provided that there are no government sanctions from Europe etc, which is something I can't predict right now - this is potentially a problem for both Egypt and Syria, which means it would be much better if you somehow manage to find small local prizes). However, then you would have to show that you do have a jury etc, that basically your contest is almost complete, except for the small budget. If that is the situation, you can email me (my username at gmail.com) and I will guide you through the process. This will require another team member to be in cc and agree with your request. You would have to explain what you have already organized and what is the situation, what the required budget would be (both in local currency and euro), what your preferred transaction method would be (paypal?) and what exactly you need it for (what do you want to buy). Please note that you will have to provide all the receipts etc to us and a short report for our administration. And we can only provide very small backup budgets - for larger budgets you would have needed the WMF grants program, but that takes much too long to be useful still. The basis of the list is information from experts in the ministry of tourism in Egypt but it is not official list ,and OK I can convert the table to be a template , and now we are still organizing the jury , and Once we complete it I will Email you . --Mohamed Ouda (talk) 22:28, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

Something I forgot to mention (but you probably saw this already on the public wlm-announce mailing list which we ask all organizers to subscribe to for announcements) is that you can request up to 20 Moleskine paper notebooks with WLM logo to be sent. We offer this for free (with the support of the Lettera27 Foundation) to all national teams, so that would make an easy (although maybe not super exciting) prize.
