Satkhola lake...[edit]
Satkhola lake is mersh area of bardiya national park in bar bardiya -9 khaireni. It is 4km form mahendra high way at baudhi chock to nirth way. Satkhola lake is nearly 2km long and 1km wide. It is very important because all small river and other water finished in summar but here water is not finish. Therefor every day here a lot of wild animals, birds, lizards, and fly insects come to drink water. If you want to visit this lake you should come morning time or evening time. You can see wild animals and birds.
Here you can do following activity...
1) foot walk :- In this lake all round a road gone you can foot walk and watch wild animals, birds, and bee, harnot, etc.. If you want to go north there is an other small lake called satanchi taal. There is north side a good road gone east from west. East side there is small river called gang khola. After cross there is thumani village and there bardiya national park waden site office. Other way if you go west direction there is badha river come. If you cross badha river there is dhakaila village will come. Here nepal army check post. If you go north direction road you can reach chure hills. From to here you can see all bardiya district. I request you take durbin with you. I saw tiger, bear, fox, jackle, 4 tipes of deer, what you say dumsi ma be one type of rat its also live in hole. Three types of lizards, three types of bee, snakes, a lot type of birds....
2) boating :- here satkhola lake you can boating and watch fish and if you go to north direction of lake you can see wild animals and birds, this is very interesting....
How to start trip... :- you can go baidhi chock by public bus from nepalgunj, kohalpur, or from kathmandu you catch dhangadi bus , after there is you can find auto it take 50 rupees per person if you book 200 rupees will pay.
