All images mis-categorized (because uploaders did not use the WLA upload system) should be categorized
Anthere is taking care of that because it requires full knowledge of WLA categories + admin tools

OK Task 2.

All images in this category category:Images from Wiki Loves Africa 2022 with unknown country‎ need to be fixed to belong to a country category.
The way it can be is by adding in the description {{Wiki Loves Africa 2022 country|XX}}, with XX being the country code
And then remove category:Images from Wiki Loves Africa 2022 with unknown country‎
Advice : ongoing work during the contest. To guess to which countries the images belong to, you may look at the picture, look at the description, or look at the other contributions made by this uploader (often, they put the country name in some pictures and forget in others). Some photos will never be linked to a specific country

Task 3.

Looking at all images (this is about 14000+ images...), add categories for all those which are a) videos or b) audios or 3) panoramas.
The categories to add are the following

Category:Audios from Wiki Loves Africa 2022
Category:Videos from Wiki Loves Africa 2022
Category:Panorama from Wiki Loves Africa 2022 (a panorama being... any image much larger than longer... there is no exact figure...

Advice to do that : do one country after another, AFTER the contest is over (to avoid doing it several times...)

Task 4.

Looking at all images, add {{PR}} to all pictures where a person is easily recognizable

Task 5.

Looking at all images, delete those which are obvious and boring selfies. You may take the opportunity to also delete super bad quality images
Advice to do that : requires admin tools. For selfies... look at the uploader contributions. If he uploaded several selfies... you may keep the best one (for his user page profile) and delete the others. If the user is a newbie and only uploaded selfies... delete straight away. If the user has upload relevant images or is an old timer... then do not.

Task 6

Pictures have to be original. We can verify that an image is not already used in a website. If you use Google chrome, you can do a right click on the image and Search Google for image’’. Also activate tool search system in your preferences. If the image is an obvious copyvio, delete it immediately or propose it for deletion Tips:

  • a picture with a small resolution is often "stolen" from a website.
  • a picture with Exif informations about the camera/smartphone (metadata) is most of the time ok.
Task 7.

If you run into an image that is obviously a WLA organization team image (such as the launching ceremony), add to Category:Wiki Loves Africa 2022 Events or to one of its country sub-categories

Task 8.

Only images without watermark can be awarded in the contest. So, watermarked pictures have to be categorized in Category:Images with watermarks. If the image is great, we try to contact the uploader to get an image without watermark, or someone edit the images.
Advice to do that: when you run into an image with watermark, add the category [[Category:Images with watermarks]] to the image description page

Task 9.

All contributions by User:Juliegwen need to be double checked. She is adding categories manually, including Quality Images category, and copyvios [1]... check
