Confused[edit]
- Once more I am confused by these "RfC"s: where is the proposal (what should be changed and how)? Why is this discussion not on Village pump (currently it looks like...). There must be some guideline for all the users coming in here (requested by e.g. {{Cent}}). --Saibo (Δ) 05:23, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
- Added headings and content which hopefully clarifies - and moved your comment to the talk page as otherwise it will be confusing. It's an RFC because it's expected to be a big and broad discussion, and isn't intended just for the English language Village pump. Rd232 (talk) 11:36, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
- So in essence this is just a VP discussion where not really a big decision needs to be done? Could we please separate such unimportant discussions the somehow? {{Cent}} is flooded with irrelevant stuff. --Saibo (Δ) 13:16, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
- VP is just for English, as you well know. And it's also better suited to more day-to-day stuff, as you also know. If it were a single proposal, COM:VPR would be appropriate, but it's intended as a free-form discussion of the issues. It may work, or it may not, but the aim is to give the discussion room to breathe. {{Cent}}'s list needs pruning, yes, and I'll do that now. - VP is only English yes - like it is at "RFCs". ;-) Yes, the potential is given that also other parts of the Commons community join. Maybe it is just the design of {cent} which is not as good(?) as de:Vorlage:Beteiligen? Only the first line (Meinungsbilder) and in the last (Stewardwahlen) is important - the remaining is not really. One may participate but also does not miss to "cast his vote" (kind of) if he does not. ← That I meant with "irrelevant" (that wasn't the best word for what I meant). Once the RFCs were translated with "Meinungsbilder" - but apparently they are more like de:WP:PRD (long term discussions). And yes, move this discussion now where you think it is best.
