Commons talk:Protected against recreation

I found two other pages to protect pages from recreation, Commons:Cascade protection and User:Notschrei/protected pages. I think it would be better if all protection from page creations were kept on one page. Maybe some sysop can move the contents here. /82.212.68.183 19:19, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Personally I think it unlikely that this will challenge this particular vandal (who almost certainly watches pages the same as we do). The abuse report make be more helpful - we will see --Herby talk thyme 07:31, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is this even necessary anymore?[edit]

Is Commons:Protected against recreation even necessary anymore? For one, administrators can now protect a page from creation using MediaWiki software functions. There's also MediaWiki:Titleblacklist now. --Ixfd64 (talk) 03:48, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
