Working on these items

[edit]

@Brwz: I plan to do some work with the decorative arts items on Commons and on Wikidata - see D:Q62268435 and File:After Bernard van Orley, The Deposition, c. 1520, NGA 1609.jpg for the type of work I usually do. I am focused on textiles, but I'll likely do some work with ceramics as well. Let me know if there's anything you think is particularly important to get done (or not to do!). - PKM (talk) 20:17, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@PKM: Hi, no preferences. Happy someone is working with those materials. - brwz (talk) 13:37, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Brwz: the titles on File:Netherlandish 15th Century, The Vision of the Centurion Cornelius, c. 1460, NGA 52352.jpg and File:Netherlandish 15th Century, The Raising of Tabitha, c. 1460, NGA 52351.jpg are switched. Should I just fix them? - PKM (talk) 02:21, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@PKM: Yes, please. Thanks for the catch. brwz (talk) 12:32, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Scrambled descriptions

[edit]

@Brwz: The metadata for File:Probably Faentine or Venetian 16th Century, Plate with border of grotesques on an orange ground and three shields of the arms of the Gritti of Venice, probably c. 1510-1525, NGA 1474.jpg is duplicated on File:Possibly Florentine 15th Century (pax frame), western European 19th Century (miniature), Pax with a Miniature of the Nativity, c. 1480 (pax frame); c. 1850-1875 (miniature), NGA 46296.jpg; its data is on File:Pieter Pannemaker I after Bernard van Orley, The Garden of Gethsemane, c. 1520, NGA 1607.jpg, and the correct data for that file seems to be missing. I can recreate it from the website and the exif data. The Wikidata items seem to be correct. I'm going to fix these now, but I'd appreciate it if you check my work after!

I've fixed a handful of swapped titles on other files as I've found them, so you might want to keep an eye out for upload problems I haven't found. - PKM (talk) 22:44, 20 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@PKM: Thanks for the corrections and all your work. The decorative arts collection were uploaded via pattypan but all the metadata fields were copy and pasted from pdfs, so the mismatches were probably the result of copying and pasting a bit too quickly. A better process was used for the other collections. I'll continue to look and see if there are any more cases that need correction. Brwz (talk) 13:42, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
