Source/License templates

[edit]

What should we do about templates like {{SenadoMexico}}, that combine source and license statements? The license of that template is basically {{Attribution}}, but combined with the source statement "From the Senate of Mexico". I would rather change that template to a source template and put the license separate:

{{Information
|Source={{SenadoMexico}}
|Permission={{Attribution}}
...
}}

instead of

{{Information
|Source=[whatever]
|Permission={{SenadoMexico}}
...
}}

What do you think? --Slomox (talk) 14:56, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why tag the templates?

[edit]

Ok, the categorizing thing is useful, but unverified licenses tags should be tagged, not the other way around. There will be much less to watch (since any unapproved templates should be deleted) and who wants more clutter on our template pages. I don't see any point in tagging nearly all our templates as "verified". Anyway, I think template standardization would be a better route to take. Rocket000 (talk) 03:18, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
