3rd party images

Proposed text: Flickr uploaders sometimes give specific credit to another photographer - this can show up in the description or the tags field. While the Flickr uploader may have have been acting with the permission or at the instruction of the photographer, we need evidence. Do not upload these images unless you are able to contact the photographer or uploader and confirm they are willing to provide evidence of permission. • If it appears it was a work for hire (i.e. the named person was just an employee), then disagree. If there is an explicit notice that the copyright is in fact owned by another person, I tend to agree. It's hard to come up with a guideline which adequately covers all possible situations -- common sense is still required a lot of the time. But extra caution is probably required in this situation. If the photographer was an employee, usually. There are lots of corporate or other organizational Flickr streams out there. Carl Lindberg (talk) 05:42, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
