Hello, once in a while, when changing the item (when an item is finished and a new one is loading), I get an error message "Could not add the depicts statement. There might be an issue with Wikimedia Commons. Try again later."

This happens quite often... (every 3-5 items) is it normal ? --Hsarrazin (talk) 20:01, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not able to translate[edit]

Hello, Recently I started using this wonderful tool and i want to translate it for my community but [1]https://tooltranslate.toolforge.org/#tool=59&languages=en link is not working for me Suyash Dwivedi (talk) 07:27, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe the translate tool was down for a moment? I have no trouble reaching it now. Husky (talk to me) 10:40, 21 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reloading[edit]

Hi @Husky, thanks a lot for your Depictor, it's totally awesome, but recently I have some problems with it, because the app on pc or mobile quits after a few depictions and needs reloading when I choose particular category to depict. For example, category "Lepidoptera of Poland" even with enabled subcategories doesn't work at all. Can you look at that issue? Gower (talk) 06:48, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your tool docs are featured as an example in the new Tool Docs Guide![edit]

Hello Depictor maintainers, contributors, and fans! I wanted to let you know that I highlighted the Depictor documentation as a shining example in the new Tool Docs guide that I just published. Thank you for creating lovely tool documentation that can serve as an example to help others create and improve tool docs :-) This guide was created as part of the Doc Your Tool project for the upcoming 2024 Hackathon. If you're interested, please join that project to work on or talk about tool documentation during the hackathon! TBurmeister (WMF) (talk) 16:44, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Category mode (under advanced mode) doesn't work.[edit]

Consider Category:La_Boudeuse_(ship,_1916). It has a corresponding wikidata item (d:Q3206781), which links to the category with property P373. The wikidata item has an image, and it's not an instance of a category. However, I get "No items for this query. Try another query." when I enter it in the "advanced" section. I think that something is amiss here; there are definitely items in that category that have no depicts in their SDC. grendel|khan 16:58, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Though note that there's a not-quite-documented workaround; by using the QID of the data item in the query, I was able to get what I was looking for. grendel|khan 17:01, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
