Executive positions which may not be part of the Board[edit]

The Board acts as directors which may also execute the roles and resolutions they passed. However, there are some positions which may be assigned or carried by any regular members such as the membership coordinator and events coordinator. The most important roles, and these are the usual positions in a Board, include the Chair who presides the meetings, a Vice Chair, a Secretary General (which may also be a non-Board/a regular member, as the Secretary General needs to be part of the discussion and not merely doing a secretariat task/documentor), and Treasurer. The remaining members of the Board may not have an particular role. These Board Members have important strategic roles (who may not necessarily active in the organizational activities). Since CPUG is an affiliation with a big number of members, roles may be created to involve them in the organization. One suggestion is having membership coordinators and events coordinators in different Wikimedia regions, and graphic designers, in order to have a strong presence outside Wikimedia Commons. These roles are fitting to the most active members of the user group (who may not necessarily active in the decision making or discussions). --Filipinayzd (talk) 07:02, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
