Government works?[edit]

The start of this page says "like other government works ... cheque designs". In the United Kingdom, though, cheques are issued by banks and hence aren't government works. As far as I can see from en:Cheque this is the norm in many other countries. Are there countries where ordinary cheques are government works? --bjh21 (talk) 20:36, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Bjh21: I made this mistake while writing the COM:Cheque by referring to the COM:Currency. I'll correct it.
By the way, do you know copyright status of UK cheques? Ox1997cow (talk) 23:01, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unsure[edit]

What's the point of having a bunch of sections with only "Unsure" in them? I'm really not seeing the usefulness of this page anyway, as che(ck|que)s aren't, to my knowledge, ever considered anything more or less than visual art. It seems like the information provided could just be placed in a TOO section. AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 03:03, 29 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@AntiCompositeNumber: I don't know that copyright status of cheques of these countries. Ox1997cow (talk) 14:53, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Ox1997cow: so why write anything at all? Do you know of any country that has special copyright rules for checks, or where they aren't owned by the issuing bank? AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 18:35, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@AntiCompositeNumber: Sorry, but I don't know that copyright status of cheques except for South Korea. Ox1997cow (talk) 10:48, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
