Wiki Loves Monuments 2012 in Ukraine ("Вікі любить пам'ятки") will be organized jointly by the Wikimedia Ukraine.

All photos uploaded during the contest will be placed to Category:Cultural heritage monuments in Ukraine (by subcategories). Category for photos for competition is Category:Images from Wiki Loves Monuments 2012 in Ukraine

Important events[edit]

  • 10.02.2012 - Wikimedia Ukraine decided to participate (see decision №47).
  • 21.03.2012 - Wikimedia Ukraine received the list of monuments from Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. Unfortunately the list is incomplete.
  • 25.03.2012 - Tomasz Kozlowski visited Kyiv to meet Ukrainian wikimedians interested in competitions. A special presentation was shown and discussed.
  • 27.03.2012 - Wikimedia Ukraine asked for a grant including WLM support.
  • May-June 2012 - Wikimedia Ukraine is receiving lists from Ukrainian region's administrations. Unfortunately some of them are incomplete.
  • 28.06.2012 - after long considering, grant for WMUA incl. for WLM was funded by WMF.
  • 18.07.2012 - first Ukrainian lists uploaded to toolserver
  • 1.01.2012 - competition starts
  • 21.10.2012 - the jury reached the decission
  • 4.11.2012 - photo-exhebition and award ceremony
