Madhu Menon is a chef and food photographer in Bangalore, India who specialises in providing food styling and photography services to restaurants, cafes, magazines, and food companies. Madhu has the skill to make any food look the absolute best, and make people crave it. With years of experience as a chef and former restaurant owner, he understand what one as a restaurant/cafe owner or publisher want to express. Food photography is his specialty. He have a chef's instinct that many conventional food photographers lack, and he know how to shoot it from the best angles, and what elements need to be highlighted to get people craving what they see in the photos. And as a chef, he already have experience with food plating and presentation. He have shot food photos for restaurants like Herbs & Spice, Harima, Raintree cafe, and Kubay. He founded PhotoIndia.com in 1998. He has honed his photography skills over 35 years spent with different types of cameras starting from now extinct Kodak Junior II in the 70s, graduating to Nikon FM with Kodachrome 25 in the early 80s to the latest digital SLRs down the line. He was first published in the Illustrated Weekly of India, the leading Indian publication in 1981. He considers the late Raghubir Singh as his primary mentor and looks up to the legendary S Paul and Raghu Rai for inspiration. Manu dons many hats – he has served as an Air Force Pilot, he has been a +2 qualified Polo player, he holds an Open Water Diver (SCUBA) license and he is also a qualified mountaineer. Always in the mood for adventure and on the lookout for interesting shots, Manu is the quintessential outdoorsman. He has traveled and shot extensively around the remotest corners of the country. Sahil Khan is a lifestyle activist, foodie, music lover and a designer. Sahil is also the co-founder of Quinto – a crowd sourced dish discovery app that helps you search for and rate the best food around you. Previously, he started The Tossed Salad – a lifestyle activism project, and was a co-founder of an egg specialty restaurant called Yolkshire. For a brief period, he headed the design efforts at Acelin Creations. In his free time, he tweets, tries to close the many tabs on his web browser, tweet some more and open more tabs. His short stories have been published in Urban Shots and Down The Road.
Karthik started by contributing to English Wikipedia in June 2010 and has been active since then with more than 21,000+ edits. He has also contributed to hundreds of photos for Wikimedia Commons. Joining the Executive Committee of Wikimedia India in 2012, he had served as Secretary for 2 years. He, along with one of the former secretary Naveen Francis was responsible for organizing "Wiki Loves Monuments in India" in 2012 and then again in 2013 which gave the community more than 25,000 photos; the contest which is a Guinness World Record for largest photography contest. Karthik also part of the international team for Wiki Loves Monuments 2013, wherein he led the Asia contest for Wiki Loves Monuments. For Wiki Loves Monuments, he has closely worked with both Wikimedia Nepal in 2013 and Wikimedia Pakistan in 2014. He is also assisted with various workshops and photothons in Mumbai.
Kiran is a senior wikimedian in Kannada community and commons community. He was the co-organizer of Wiki Loves Monument in India edition.
