Commons:Wiki Loves Folklore 2022/Nigeria
Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photographic contest organized by Wikimedia communities to document cultures in different regions of the world. Wiki Loves Folklore is continuation of Wiki Loves Folklore 2021 in Nigeria project with the theme of folk culture.
The basic aim of the competition is to collect photos of human cultural diversity to illustrate articles in the worldwide free encyclopedia Wikipedia and other Wikimedia Foundation projects. The photos provided must match the theme, although the contest is not limited to any official list of protected areas, which means that most users will be able to find several pertaining subjects close to theme, whether festivals, dances, cuisine, clothing or daily life routine emphasizing on folk culture of that area.

- from 1 February 2022 until 15 March 2022
- Deadline for submissions: 15 March 2022, 23:59
- Results Declaration: around 14 April 2022
Prizes[edit]
Certificates will be given to local participants from Nigeria and there would be international prizes for the best three photographs see here International Prizes.
How do I participate?[edit]
Everybody is allowed to participate, regardless of age, nationality and place of living, given they agree to publish their work under the Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
In order to participate in the contest, one needs:
- to have an account at Wikimedia Commons;
- take pictures of the Nigerian culture;
- Upload pictures at Commons. Don't forget to add the Category:Images from Wiki Loves Folklore 2022 in Nigeria
