Step 1: You need to upload your images to the contest before creating your photo essay.
Please note: you have to upload the individual images as .jpgs or .gifs. Using google slides and some other presentation methods are not compatible with the licences that Commons use.
Step 2: Create your photo essay by typing the title into the box below and click Create page.
Once on your newly titled photo essay page, you will be able to:
Add a brief description or context for the photos
Add the images you have uploaded to Wiki Loves Africa 2023 (click on the logo image to start).
Arrange the images into the sequence you require.
Add and edit the descriptions to make the story or sequence of events more obvious.
Save your changes.
Step 3: Click Publish changes - your photo essay will not be saved until you do this last step.
Step 4: You can come back to your created page anytime to edit or add or amend your photo essay.
