Welcome to WikiProject Western Asia on Commons! We are a group dedicated to increasing and organizing Commons images and files related to Western Asia. This group is a sister group of WikiProject Western Asia in Wikipedia.
This area is roughly similar to the older but commonly used eurocentric termination the Middle East, plus the South Caucasus, and minus Egypt.
Tasks/Tareas[edit]
- Add English descriptions to file (and category pages).
- Improve file descriptions.
- Delete non-English categories (Red).
- Upload the related files and put them in the correct categories.
- Watch the related files.
Goals[edit]
The goals of this project are to:
create, improve, and maintain files relating to the countries of Western Asia, their history, people, geography, and culture. Included are the independent nations of
- Armenia,
- Azerbaijan,
- Bahrain,
- Cyprus,
- Georgia,
- Iran
- Iraq,
- Israel,
- Jordan,
- Kuwait,
- Lebanon,
- Oman,
- Palestine,
- Saudi Arabia,
- Syria,
- Turkey,
- United Arab Emirates, and
- Yemen.
