- Info : As per MVR rules, all votes cast prior to this move (06:14, 18 September 2015 (UTC)) should be disregarded. Martinvl (talk) 19:56, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
OpposeComment I believe that this image is better which is why I collected together a number of different images of Inveraray Castle. Martinvl (talk) 06:14, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
- The photograph which suggest there is no assigned color space and therefore colors can be displayed wrong. My monitor is a lot of yellow and green. --Jacek Halicki (talk) 14:21, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
- Comment this photo here has a more natural colour than the other suggested, the other looks overly greeny/yellow on my displays too and the stone should be grey like granite (as in this photo) and not sandstone-like as in the other. Also, with this photo here having been taken closer to the subject than the other suggested, the further away towers are more visible. Also, there are no people visible in this photo, but there are on the other, so that makes this photo more useful. DeFacto (talk) 15:48, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
- Question @Martinvl: will you please list the criteria you based your judgement on that the other image is better? DeFacto (talk) 18:38, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
- @DeFacto: As requested, here are my reasons for preferring the other image above yours:
- My preferred picture was sharper. Look at the tiles on the sloping roof under high magnification. Each tile is clearly visible, but yours are not.
- Your picture only has two and a half first-floor windows visible, my preferred image has four and a half visible. That is why I included the "three-quarter view" photo - it has all the windows visible, but at a cost of distortion.
- My preferred picture had more vibrant colours - colours that are associated with a clear day and a low sun. I notice that your photo was taken on an overcast day which obviously compromised things, but c'est le vie - I have a large number of images that I have not uploaded for the same reason.
- I trust that this puts things into perspective. Martinvl (talk) 19:55, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose I'm not yet sure which one I prefer, but this one unfortunately has way too much shrubbery standing in front of the main subject. --El Grafo (talk) 16:36, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- Comment Maybe someone should take a picture in Winter? --> no leafs and better overview, even if the picture want all the green colours. --Dr. Chriss (talk) 20:43, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
Info After re-reading the rules on MVR, I have withdrawn my "oppose" vote - see note above. Martinvl (talk) 19:56, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
