The rollback feature allows users to undo all latest consecutive edits by a user to a page.

Obtaining rollback permission

By request

All users with more than 200 non vandal edits can apply for rollback on /requests. All user meeting the criteria can get rollback as soon as a administrator sees the reqeust. Users with global rollback don't have to meet those criteria and can get rollback on the same request page.

By personal request/at administrator discretion

Users who do not meet the above criteria but are known to an administrator to be trustworthy may be granted the rollback permission by any administrator upon a personal request without a formal process at their own discretion. Personal assignment of the rollback permission is only to be used for non-controversial cases. Users with a history of inappropriate behavior should be discussed on /requests.

Using rollback

The use of rollback should mainly be limited to combating vandalism. It should only be used for clear-cut cases. Use of the rollback feature for edit warring will result in your rollback permission being revoked.

Revocation of rollback permission

Users repeatedly abusing rollback to revert constructive edits will have their rollback permission revoked. This can be done by any administrator at any time at his or her own discretion. Users who had their rollback permission revoked shall not be granted rollback permission without discussion.
