Responsibilities

The committee has the following responsibilities:

1. respond to queries about the voting process and assist voters on request
2. promote the competition among the wider Wikimedia community
   • actively search for translators and users who want to post messages on the local noticeboards
   • leave messages for possibly interested people, such as people who created a FP
3. announce the results, contact the winners
4. organise various archives
5. scrutinise votes and detect fraud, respond to allegations of voting fraud
6. try to ensure the competition is as 'fair' as possible and that all eligible entries are presented equally (e.g. randomise image order)
