FP?

Plynlymon Hall

I quite like this photo, but is it an FP? What do you think? Worth nominating at FPC or not? Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:26, 9 December 2018 (UTC)

  •  Comment I like the repeating elements. The warm evening sun on the walls is nice, but that is countered by the pale sky and the almost black blotch of hill in the background. The bottom looks awkwardly cut. That was of course done on purpose in order to get a cleaner image (avoiding the busy sidewalk, cars and fence), but it looks unbalanced like this. Maybe doing the same kind of cutting at the top and excluding the sky in a similar way could have been an option to solve this problem? Anyway: That would not be a "support" and potentially even an "oppose" from me at FPC. Cheers, --El Grafo (talk) 07:47, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for your thoughts. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:08, 13 December 2018 (UTC)

A rainbow in Puerto Varas, Chile

Could it be a quality image? Scheridon (talk) 16:27, 27 December 2018 (UTC)

The background shows overprocessing, the main subject has very little detail, IMO is not a QI, sorry --Cvmontuy (talk) 00:34, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

I'm very grateful but still very lost.

Hi everyone thanks for your help. I do get lost amongst guidelines a lot.

I was hoping someone would mind taking the time to point out which of my latest six uploads are any good for the commons, which could be improved digitally by me prior to uploading for next time, and which would probably just be better off remaining my personal collection.

I hope to avoid wasting peoples time in my future uploads if I learn this with these specific examples.

Thankyou very much

  • sunset:, composition the human siluete in the lower corner is distracting IMO, very little detail in the picture,
  • ocean fish: It has a strong color cast (too green), the image is blurred,
  • snorkeling, lack of detail,
  • Island off coast, it looks overexposed and without detail
