Was just browsing through my old bird pictures (admiring the crows haha) when I came across this one. I'm not sure if I've previously uploaded it here and then deleted it, but nonetheless, the thought occurred to me that I should put it through Topaz Gigapixel and see how it fared. I cropped it a bit and did some minor editing. Do you reckon it could make FPC or even POTY (hah)? Pinging User:Ikan Kekek, User:Charlesjsharp, and User:W.carter for your opinions. :) ― Gerifalte Del Sabana 08:10, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

I don't think so. The front half of the beak and the food are unsharp merely at full page on my 13-inch laptop's screen. Topaz Gigapixel just upscales, right? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:22, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
Sorry, no. Both beak and back of head out of focus and processing has not been effective - lots of halos. Gigapixel does not improve an image. Charlesjsharp (talk) 09:05, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
The Topaz superresolution has caused a lot of haloing like Charles mentioned, and also wormy artifacts in the background. It does not look good upon close inspection. dllu (t,c) 20:15, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
