SVG updation

Same-sex sexual activity was decriminalized by the Supreme Court, but that does not mean same-sex relationships are legally recognized, granted rights by the state. Ron 1987 (talk) 19:52, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

The legend is conflicting, the anti-gay sex Section 377 being struck down implies unregistered cohabitation is permitted but at the same time does not recognize legal unions. In fact, the law was struck down to accommodate same-sex relationships, but there is no provision of legal unions. Read the article linked above, and here's a HRW article, in addition to the fact that all unregistered cohabitation in India is allowed (May 6 2018 Supreme Court ruling, also sourced in "LGBT rights in India" article on enwiki), implicitly allowing same-sex unregistered cohabitation. @Ron 1987: Are you alright? I never said same-sex relationships are legally recognized, but that, unregistered cohabitation is permitted among all consenting adults, including same-sex couples. They have the same constitutional rights, the only restriction is the lack of a legal union, hence I asked for the update to unregistered cohabitation and not any of the other ones. I am agreeing more on Danhash opinion. The picture contains compression artifacts, but the main problem that the picture is blurry (low resolution).

The design (especially, black text) makes possible JPEG artifacts less noticeable than for, say, red letters on white. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 20:27, 21 May 2019 (UTC)

I was wrong about W3af-screenshot.png – there are mild traces of JPEG, especially prominent when high γ is applied. Not frequently see to which extent high-quality JPEG compression (such as 95%) distorts colored edges, hence was not expecting artifacts that subtle. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 20:27, 21 May 2019 (UTC)

I know jpeg can conain hardly any compression artefacts, which are almost not visible with the naked eye on normal screens.

This artefacts are minor, I do not like the strong text smoothing, but that's just my personal opinion, therefore I would use {{Blurry}}.

Mercury's graphic

Hi, I left a message on the discussion page of File:Hg-TableImage.svg, which shows mercury's place on the periodic table. I don’t know if it was the right place to leave the message. The graphic is wrong. Mercury is in Period 6 (second last row), not Period 5 (third last row) like it is shown there. It is wrong on all the Wikipedias that use this image. animated svg with CSS code

I've just finished an animated svg] on codepen.io for some medical articles. There's a small amount of CSS attached to it. I'm not sure how to export the data to load onto commons. I have the html code and css code. Or, if I export it I can get the index file and css style sheet. I've never used anything other than a pure html svg before, so I'm not exactly sure how to handle it. Thanks for any help. Ian Furst (talk) 00:28, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

Disregard. Wikipedia cannot handle a seperate CSS file, as far as I can tell, so I've embedded the CSS code in the <style> section of the html. See Symptoms man and read the code in a text editor. Note that with this method, the entire diagram is only 16kb and can be altered by anyone, for any symptoms. Ian Furst (talk) 00:05, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

New type of SVG animations?
