SVG Font issue

I uploaded the LPD Logo as source file (SVG) which was created with INKSCAPE, which uses FreeSans Font. But the Font was not convertet correct (length/size is bigger than at the source file). Any proposals how to fix? Remark: in the moment I think to upload a PNG of this Image to fix the problem, but for sure this isn't the preferred solution! --Ulfb (talk) 15:28, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

Scale the font size down to 40 or pick a different font. Alexpl (talk) 14:40, 8 December 2019 (UTC)
Thanks Alexpl - but this changes the view inside - which is not fitting to the original logo :-( --Ulfb (talk) 20:25, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
The font used in the original is not a standard. If I save your file locally and open it in inkscape, "FreeSans" is marked as not available. Crude solution: Use Inkscape to break the text down to paths. Alexpl (talk) 08:39, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
Yes I know, but this was the definition of the designers (not from me - see Info). And if you look on lug-vs.org LPD-Logo.svg, you can see how it looks like if fonts-freefont-ttf package is installed. --Ulfb (talk) 21:54, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
You can hardly ask Commons to adopt every exceptional font out there. Alexpl (talk) 09:53, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
