Yellow tint in some browsers for generated previews from source TIFFs[edit]

I uploaded a bunch of TIFFs and found that the Commons-generated preview jpeg seems to have weird color profile information. In some browsers (FF, Chrome) there is a yellow tint in the image. In other browsers (IE10, Safari 7) the previews are correct. Screenshot for comparison. See images in this category for examples. Is this a known bug? Can someone help with regenerating the preview jpegs of should I delete and reupload as PNG? (Sorry for cross posting in the regular village pump too, pls let me know where it belongs). -- 11:25, 21 December 2013‎ user:Kungbib

Visualization apps for data[edit]

Is there someone who might have experience with software graphics for 3D data visualization. This is the Wikipedia table which would be nice to see as a 3D graph, can you think of any easy way? (x-axis is importance scale, y-axis is quality scale, and z-axis is the value from this table.) What is the simplest possible way? {{Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Statistics}} BillMoyers (talk) 13:41, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If I remember correctly, OpenOffice.org allows export as SVG, though text labels may be messed up by the Wikimedia renderer. Can you describe the table in more detail? cmglee (talk) 21:34, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Solution looking for a problem :-)[edit]

I've created a graphic comparing the playing surfaces of several sports:

which I think is useful to illustrate the differences between their areas, but I can't think of a suitable article(s) to use it in. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, cmglee (talk) 22:51, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If not en:Pitch (sports field), then I have no idea... AnonMoos (talk) 01:12, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
