New logo not in use[edit]

Hello! I spent a couple of hours at Wikipedia:Category:Images that should have transparent backgrounds last night making images (mostly fair-use logos) with transparent backgrounds. For some reason there's an issue with Welch's logo. Normally if you mouse over the image you see a checkerboard background, which shows you that it's transparent. Not so with this logo. At first I thought I'd uploaded it wrong, but the thumbnail further down the page looks right. Just checked at the Welch's page and the new logo is not in use. Any ideas? I think that the display of images has been changed on Wikipedia image description pages (but not Commons pages) so that the white-and-grey checkerboard no longer appears. Probably nothing wrong with your particular image... AnonMoos (talk)

Text is covered[edit]

Hello everybody,

Wikimedia Commons covers a part of this SVG image with a black T-shaped figure on the right: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bundestag_2009_Linke.svg It's displayed correctly when I view it on my computer, though. Can anybody help me please? --Kevin L. (talk) 21:46, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've solved the problem with the help of the FAQ on Inkscape Wiki. :) --Kevin L. (talk) 20:25, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Information template[edit]

Something appears to be wrong with {{Information}}. The template syntax in the summary of File:Valsetz, Oregon May 10 2009.jpg isn't producing the template. My browser is Safari 5.1.1. Jsayre64 (talk) 21:35, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, didn't catch that. Thanks. Jsayre64 (talk) 04:50, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Text shown in bold[edit]

I am completely new to Inkscape and I tried to translate (svgtranslate didn’t work) an image because an article it is used in on Swedish Wikipedia is nominated for featured status, and for this, all images have to be in Swedish. The font looked like Arial so I used Arial and it worked fine. However the text that wasn’t bold became bold when I uploaded it, and a bracket or two were moved. It wouldn’t have been that bad if it weren’t for one original text box that I left, which still isn’t in bold. here’s the original image, and here’s my attempted translation. The text I’m talking about is at the far right (the species). Later I discovered that Arial is problematic and tried to change it using the instructions (replacing fontfamily) but it didn’t seem to help. Does anyone maybe have a solution? Thank you very much! --Lundgren8 (t · c) 20:35, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
