Improvement of a 2-pages scanned image[edit]

Bismarck and the Arc de Triomphe.

Hi,I would like to kindly request an improvement of this image. As you can see, this was on 2 pages and scanned as such. It would be nice if someone experimented could try to minimize the seam between the left and right page. Thanks. Badzil (talk) 17:16, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Might get more replies at Commons:Graphic_Lab/Photography_workshop ... AnonMoos (talk) 14:00, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Will do. Thanks. Badzil (talk) 16:58, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rendering problems with File:Tabla_periodica_completa.svg[edit]

Hi user; I have a problem with the rendering or this image. It renders good as SVG, but not as shown.

Please help! --Josell7 (talk) 02:40, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Changed all font-size:65.00091553% to font-size:5.85px -- don't think RSVG understands the relative percentage specifications. AnonMoos (talk) 03:23, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I'm having trouble getting this image to render properly. I thought I fixed it, but there's still a black box. (And I didn't realize there was a tool to check if it works before you upload until it was too late.) I understand there are <flowroot> tags, but I'm not entirely sure how to get rid of them. I've already tried everything at Help:SVG. Any more advice? Thanks. Makeemlighter (talk) 14:59, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

✓ Done As is often the case in my experience, using a text editor to just remove the offending elements worked a treat. In future, you can test uploads to check fixes have worked properly using Commons:SVG Check (not perfect, but I'm working on it...) Regards, Jarry1250 (talk) 19:35, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome. Thanks so much. Makeemlighter (talk) 09:25, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I uploaded large size of this file. But there is some problem. The file exist but not shown.Geagea (talk) 05:02, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, it's not really convenient for me to download a 29 MB file and try to diagnose it. I don't know if there's any absolute limit on JPEG pixel size on Commons, but 11895x8262 is quite large. There's definitely a limit on large progressive JPEGs being resized, so you perhaps should check to see that the JPEG is not progressive... AnonMoos (talk) 07:57, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, figured out that it's not progressive (or shouldn't be) by downloading the first 100k of the file... AnonMoos (talk) 08:10, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I know that 30MB are maximum size ,but what is the size limitation? any way whan I use {{LargeImage}} it is ok. Theanks. Geagea (talk) 18:27, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
JPEG thumbnailing uses Imagemagic, while image section viewing probably goes through another program. AnonMoos (talk) 18:14, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
