Cropping white space around SVGs

What is the easiest way to automatically crop borders from an SVG? I created Pathway_to_genome.svg (latex to PDF via Inkscape to SVG) and it has a lot of white-space. U+003F? 12:07, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

The fastest way is probably: File > Document Properties > Page > Page Size > Custom size, open the "Resize page to content..." section, define the margins to be a few pixels wide and press "Resize page to drawing or selection". If there are no invisible objects around your content, just don't select anything, if there are, select what should be included. — Julian H.✈ 13:15, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
That didn't work for me; the resize didn't resize. Perhaps I should edit the SVG directly, though I never quite got my head around the viewBox element. U+003F? 13:44, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

GIMP

I downloaded GIMP, but when I tried to start setup, I got the message that Windows cannot open it up because it does not know what program to use for this purpose. Can anyone suggest what program I should use to open up setup for GIMP? Sardaka (talk) 07:25, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

You probably downloaded the ".torrent" file. Make sure you download "Gimp for Windows" from the GIMP download page and use the alternative download link unless you want to use BitTorrent. --Patrick87 (talk) 09:06, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
