- Oppose It's a well-chosen image of an (ahem) echt-German townscape, but ... while it has great EV for this it is also compositionally unexceptional (the technical way of saying "no wow") and in fact some of the foliage in the front is a little unsharp. Lovely color, I will say. Daniel Case (talk) 00:25, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
- I understand your first point. "No wow" is a subjective matter, unfortunately I cannot change it - In the past I've also opposed due to "too less Wow", but most of these cases were less important single buildings photographed at neutral light. The point with the foliage is unclear to me: The foliage at the left front has nothing to do with the main motive (panoramic view) but has only the function to get an impression of the spatial distances - I see no reason why these should be as sharp as the houses. Does the term echt-German really exist?--Tuxyso (talk) 05:40, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
OpposeThe underexposed foliage on left top and bottom is distracting. I prefer this AOV. JKadavoor Jee 07:02, 24 May 2013 (UTC)- Sorry, but the panorama you linked to is not convincing, especially regarding quality, composition is also not concvincing. I took a similar shot but unfortunately with distracting cars. I cannot really understand why the reviewers here focus on the (unimportant) leafs rather than on the motive. The leafs function only as framing to the panoramic view - this a quite common shooting techique (see comment above regarding spatial distances). Done Nonetheless I have slightly brightened the leafs in the foreground. --Tuxyso (talk) 07:21, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
- Leaves are OK now. I like your other composition more; the green foliage is well distributed than center weighted here. (Although I'm a nature lover; I have much tolerance to other fellow humans and their basic necessities like cars. (I don't think the world looks more beautiful without distracting humans and their toys.) JKadavoor Jee 11:35, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
- File:Stadtpanorama-Warburg-2013.jpg is added to Warburg. Could you add the sight notes as in File:Stadtpanorama Warburg.JPG, please? JKadavoor Jee 11:42, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
- Done I've added multi language notes to both files. --Tuxyso (talk) 14:55, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
